Maintenance of Core Components: The Battery
Charging Timing: Charge promptly when the battery level drops to 20%–30%; avoid letting the battery drain completely to minimize damage from deep discharge.
Proper Procedure: Connect the charger to the bike first, then to the power outlet; when fully charged, unplug from the power outlet first, then disconnect from the bike. Charge for 6–8 hours in summer and 8–10 hours in winter.
Environmental Requirements: Charge in a cool, well-ventilated area. In summer, allow the battery to cool down for half an hour after riding before charging; avoid exposure to high temperatures, direct sunlight, or rain.
Long-term Storage: Top up the charge at least once a month. Maintain lithium battery levels between 30% and 70% to prevent failure due to total power loss.
Maintenance of Safety Components: Tires and Brakes
Tire Care: Check tire pressure monthly; maintain 2.0–2.2 bar for the front tire and 2.2–2.5 bar for the rear tire. Promptly remove foreign objects such as stones or glass from the tread.
Tire Replacement: Replace tires immediately if severe tread wear, cracks, or bulges are detected to avoid the risk of a blowout.
Brake Inspection: Test brake responsiveness weekly by squeezing the levers. Replace brake pads if the thickness drops below 3mm; for drum brakes, regularly clean out accumulated mud and debris.
Disc Brake Maintenance: Regularly check the hydraulic fluid reservoir level. Replace the brake fluid if it becomes cloudy to ensure optimal braking performance.
